SDC Deposit Library

The SDC, its cooperation offices in priority countries, and individual projects regularly issue publications about their work. In order to make these publications easily available to the scientific community and the general public, the library of the IHEID/GIDSG (Graduate Institute of Development Studies, Geneva) maintains a special collection known as the SDC Deposit Library. Here all brochures, CD-ROMS, Videos, DVDs and books from these SDC sources are catalogued, maintained, and loaned out.

The GIDSG library is in an appropriate place: students, researchers, and teachers at institutions in Geneva can use this collection locally. It is located on the lower level and is set up as a separate, open-access library. The GIDSG library’s services, such as its online catalogue and distance lending service, also guarantee access to all other interested parties. Data at the SDC Deposit Library are registered in the RERO (Library Network of Western Switzerland) catalogue, and documents can be loaned directly from GIDSG.

Out-of-date documents are regularly removed. SDC publications, on the other hand, are maintained in the SDC Deposit Library on a long-term basis and are available to the public.

Documents will only be loaned out,  if they are not available in any other library in Switzerland. To make an appointment please send a written request which includes the reason for your visit to: infodoc@deza.admin.ch
