The SDC's advanced training program aims at all levels to develop an employee's relevant capabilities and skills in the following four fields: professional competence, social and personal qualifications, methodic and leadership skills.

Principles of HR development
We attach particular importance to enabling our staff to acquire and further develop their skills during their time with the SDC, applying targeted measures to maintain high
performance and motivation levels.
Human resources development as rooted in the “Vamos” HR strategy pursues two objectives: protecting the interests of the SDC as an institution, and enabling staff to grow their skills appropriately.
To secure efficient, sustainable execution of the SDC’s mandate, the aim of all HR development measures is to stimulate performance (growing and maintaining skills) throughout the employee’s
career.
Besides numerous Human resources development measures as
training and lifelong learning, SDC promotes missions with other organizations,
rotation, encouraging junior managerial talent, courses for executives and coaching, to name but a few, HR development also covers creating conditions (job specifications, work schedule
models, job design) that further staff development and motivation.
