Internship as part of Information Sciences degree courses

The SDC's Section Information Management offers interested students the possibility of gathering professional experience needed for Information Sciences studies or admission to an Information Science programme.

What you need
You started studies in Information Sciences (MAS, Master, Bachelor) or you meet all the admission requirements. You have a good knowledge of languages (German, French, English). We also expect you to have good knowledge of informatics applications, as well as a flair for and interest in information technologies. You like to work in a team and you are curious about your future profession.

What you get
The Section Information Management at the SDC runs an in-house information office which provides a wide array of information services for SDC staff such as supplying information media, replying to factual questions, carrying out research and perparing and making information sources available. During the internship you will see the day-to-day operations and participate in our service activities. According to your aptitude and preference you will also have the opportunity to take part in other tasks in the Section Information Management and to carry out smaller projects on your own (Intranet, Knowledge Securing, data bases, etc.).

The length of an internship is between 9 and 13 months. Working hours and salary are in line with federal administration guidelines. You will be working 80-100%.
The next internship position becomes available in summer 2013.
