The Confederation’s Strategy on International Cooperation in the period 2013–2016 is set out in detail in a Federal Council Dispatch adopted by Parliament in September 2012. It is directly linked to its foreign policy objectives and its economic foreign policy strategy.

The Strategy encompasses all the areas of international cooperation, which targets the reduction of poverty and global risks, and specifies in particular, Switzerland’s objectives, principles instruments and policy direction.
