Corporate Financial Planning and Consulting

The Division ensures the SDC’s budget management and financial planning. It optimizes financial systems, standards, and instruments; coordinates the Internal Control System (ICS); and support the operational management in the task of financial steering. Training courses and consulting in these areas round out its range of tasks. The mission of the Division is to make available solid, high-quality financial data, and to (further) develop effective financial reporting instruments for the benefit of the SDC, parliament, and the public.

The Division leads the internal Finance Management and Systems Network (F+S net) and the Internal Control System (ICS) Network, and undertakes to defend their interests. These networks develop sopra-departmental business-administration instruments, while setting quality standards and guidelines.

The Division maintains external contact networks with the Federal Finance Administration (FFA), the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), and the Swiss National Bank (SNB).
