Information for SDC Contractors
As a contractual partner (SDC Contractor), here you will find useful information and necessary documents in connection with a mandate (contract) of type A, type B, or a contract with fiduciary funds management. The Competence Centre Contracts and Procurement is the competent Organizational Unit (OU) for this at SDC, and as such is responsible for the internal guidelines regulating the remuneration of contractors.
Information for SDC consultants: standardisation of flight classes
From now on, consultants will be expected to travel in economy class regardless of the distance covered.
In the framework of mandates (incl. mandates for project implementation), the SDC formerly made exceptions for flights by consultants of more than 3000 miles. For reasons of equality of treatment, this practice has now been standardised in the Department.
This regulation is based on the article 13 para 2 of FDFA Directive 330-0 on Public Procurement of Services and Mandates according to which mandates generally travel in economy class.
This new regulation will be part of all new contracts for mandates (incl. mandates for project implementation). In the case of contracts of a certain duration which are still being performed, consultants will be contacted by the SDC to discuss possible methods of application of this new regulation.
Thank you for your understanding.
