Curriculum Vitae Kurt Kunz
Assistant Director-General, Head of Department Cooperation with Eastern Europe
At the beginning of July 2010, Mr Kurt Kunz took up his post as head of the Cooperation with Eastern Europe section. Mr Kunz was born in St Gallen in 1957. After obtaining a degree in Sociology from the University of Zurich, he worked as a delegate for the ICRC. He joined the diplomatic service of the FDFA in 1987 and has since held posts in in Bern, Ottawa, Brasilia, Vienna and Brussels. His most recent post was that of first secretary in the Madrid embassy, where he was responsible for multilateral (EU, UN), foreign and security policy issues as well as media and information.
