Conference on Afghan Displacement
The aim is that as a result of the conference Afghani refugees will be able to return to their home country. Together Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran and the UN Refugee Agency UNHCR are trying to achieve this goal. Switzerland has also promised to support these efforts. |

Sustainable Development UN Rio+20 Conference and the SDC's commitment The Rio+20 Summit in June 2012 will be another major milestone in the history of sustainable development. The SDC will contribute in two ways: participation at the Summit itself and involvement in projects which seek sustainable solutions that are sensitive to the needs of the poor. Priority areas include better food security, access to water, climate protection, disaster risk reduction and the protection of mountain regions. Dossier |
