FDFA Security Management Course

Zielpublikum
  • SDC: Coordinators and deputy-coordinators, finance officers, programme officers at headquarters, national programme officers as well as staff at headquarters and in the field with security-related tasks.
  • Diplomatic and consular staff: ambassadors, deputy-heads of mission and heads of chancery as well as persons dealing with security issues at the representations, including technical staff.
  • Staff at the headquarters who will be transferred to a country where there are serious security problems.
  • Members of Swiss NGOs responsible for security issues in their organisation.
Ziele

The course participants learn the structure and processes of the security, risk and crisis-management concepts concerning persons, infrastructure, valuables and activities of the FDFA.

Inhalte

On the basis of a scenario, participants are progressively introduced to the structure of the concept by means of theoretical information, practical exercises (with role plays), video clips and discussions. They carry out a context analysis and risk assessment, identify appropriate measures, analyse security incidents and carry out a crisis management exercise.

Methoden

There are used a variety of approaches including presentations, exercises, plenary discussions, video-clips and individual reflection time.

Leitung

The course will be organised by Security FDFA and facilited by external experts. 

Kosten

Course fees as well as costs for facilities, meals and accommodation are covered by FDFA.
